10 Pounds Off and Counting

To date I have lost 10 lbs. since I started my weight loss journey November of last year. Wooot wooot.

SW: 138 lbs.

CW: 128 lbs.

GW: 125 lbs. (set by my nutritionist)

UGW: 110 lbs.

I still have a long way to go but I am confident that I can get there in time and I am not even sacrificing my love of eating out. I think I have managed to learn how to handle portion control and exercising more. I have noticed significant improvement as well ie. jogging at a slow pace for 2 mins. used to seem like I was dying now I can go on for 10 mins and not feel like am about to collapse. I am slowly building my endurance and I hope after finishing the C25K program I’d be able to join my first fun run.

Cheers to a healthier me ^_^

My Ongoing Weight Loss Journey

Back in 2007, I weighed 107 pounds which at the time according to the company nurse was a little underweight for me. She said for my age and height I should be at least 110 pounds. Now 5 years after I weigh 140 pounds and I blame it on my sedentary lifestyle (working from home for 8 to 12 hours per day with no exercise at all).

Back in June of this year I went on a two month spree out of the country, one month in Malaysia and one month in Thailand and I let myself lose to the point where the buttons of my shorts and jeans cannot be snapped close. When I arrive home I was at my heaviest, 140 pounds with a height of 5’2″ age 27.

Being this heavy made breathing so hard during an asthma attack (hereditary asthma) no matter how minor it is and moving to set up my nebulizer is just so damn hard. That made me realize that I need to change my lifestyle and become more active. When I got back from my trip around August I decided I would sign up for gym membership (again) and this time do it seriously and sign up for personal training sessions as well.

I slacked off entire month of October and early November but starting third week of November I have become dead serious. To date I have lost 3 pounds not a lot I admit but its a start and like the nutritionist said losing weight is not a one day process rather its continuous. I have noticed changes in my body no doubt, one major change is that I haven’t had an asthma attack in almost 2 months now, before I always have an attack every month so this change is very pleasant indeed. This was the primary reason I why I want to change and looking good in the process is just icing on the cake.

I also use this website called My Fitness Pal, I track my food intake (am very serious with my calorie intake) and daily exercises. It has helped tremendously and I love it.

So if you are like me … trying or is in the process of losing weight then try visiting this site: My Fitness Pal.
